our trusty wagon.
We LOVED Montana. Definitely on my list of top 5 favorite states. The sky was just amazing ("Big Sky" is very fitting), though we never quite figured out why it looked so amazing. Maybe some combination of no trees, mountains, the altitude?
After a lovely stay, we drove up to Glacier National Park. GORGEOUS. I got a little teary eyed when we had to leave. On our way in, we drove the "Going to the Sun" road, which is ranked as one of the top scenic drives in several articles we've read. You cut the park in half and definitely have plenty of scenic views! The next day we did a day hike up to a glacial lake, called 'Iceberg Lake'. After seeing bears and hearing that the Many Glacier area (where we stayed and hiked) was full of bears, we bought bear mace to carry in our pack. Luckily, we didn't need it! This was both of our favorite hikes of all times. I've hiked in the Swiss Alps, which was gorgeous, but nothing beats Glacier. Not only was it beautiful, but it's my country - the United States of America. It made me proud and full of love for this nation of ours. The final day we did another hike.
It was definitely our favorite stop... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Now, let's talk about Cooper's wardrobe.
These:
are not Baby Spanx (no, seriously- click on the link and watch it). Credit for that gem of a find goes to my sister (agirlcalledjenn.blogspot.com). They are the REI equivalent of Under Armor for babies... it's wicking fabric that I insisted on getting to keep Coop from getting heat rash. He hasn't gotten heat rash on his little bod... whether that credit goes to the $20 wanna-be-baby-spanx or not, who knows, but he did look super cool while hiking.
Glacier: a must see... despite Going to the Sun being beautiful, hiking it is definitely the way to go! But bring a jacket... it gets a little chilly!

Those pictures are stunning!!! So wished we could have made a visit to Glacier while living in ND. And Cooper is adorable! He has seen more of the US in these few months than most people do in their whole life! Norah's jealous. Haha :) How will you ever choose which pictures to frame?!?! There are so many great family pictures at every stop. Love reading your adventures and miss you!
