Thoughts on this Veterans Day

Where it all started...

This Veterans Day, as we [briefly] recover from our second move within the past 5 months, prepare to be physically separated for the next several months, work through the emotions and logistics of our first deployment and no communication, unpack and re-pack our suitcases for what seems like the billionth time, and figure out the logistics of moving our family and home two more times in the next 7 months, I am keenly aware of the sacrifices our military members and their families make and have made for something they believe in - whether that be service of this country, protection of its people, provision for their family, or some combination of those and other reasons.  Our "rough" experiences in the military are nothing compared to the majority of those who have served.

I'm also equally aware of the unique and exciting experiences we've been able to have because of the military and what it's given to us!  We are blessed by and thankful for the Navy, the adventures we've been able to have because of our job[s], the responsibility and purpose we've experienced through it, and everything it's provided our family.

Thank you to those of you who serve and to the support networks behind you! We appreciate your sacrifices!

Oh, Navy love..  :)
